RSGB President, Angus Annan, MM1CCR, was invited to present the Awards to Clubs & Amateurs who had contributed most to the British Wireless for the Blind Fund at Sandford Mill on Sunday, 9th December.

Photos by John, G8DETDr Geoff Bowles welcomed everyone and gave a short intoduction where he pointed out that the Marconi Hut behind was provided by Marconi's for the early Broadcasting to Radio Amateurs - before there was professional Broadcasting.
He said that CARS operated whenever Sandford Mill was open and that the Friends of the Museum provided the refreshments - hot drinks were needed as unfortunately the building was unheated.

Ms Fiona Fountain, Co-ordinator for the Wireless for the Blind introduced Mr Peter McDonagh, Chairman who then gave a short presentation about the Wireless for the Blind Fund.

Dr Roger Bloor from Newscastle under Lyme raised the most money but unfortunately could not be present to collect his Award.

Simon Treacher, 2E0CVN from Orpington and a member of the Cray Valley Radio Society.
Trophy presented for the most contacts by a Club - Bittern DX Group.
