Introduction

Christmas Lunch - Saturday, 4th December.

CARS this year had their Christmas Lunch in the Glades Restaurant in Chelmsford. Post Code CM2 9AJ.

Although Chelmsford and surrounding districts have seen more than 6 inches of snow - the Lunch was well attended with 28 Guests, Members and Wives.

We met for drinks and a chat from midday - the main topic being "How did you cope with this unseasonal weather?"

We had the restaurant to ourselves which was nicely laid out in such a manner that we were not squashed in.   It was decorated with Christmas trim and lovely and warm.

Neil then thanked CARS for inviting him as a Guest and was pleased to meet so many friendly Members.   He welcomed the opportunity to travel to such a thriving Club (he had come from Cambridge) and said he was keen to promote inter-Club events and inter-Club co-operation.

CARS Chairman, John pointed out we had Members present from SEARS, (Canvey Island), Braintree and an Essex Repeater Group Member from Rettenden - this was greeted with a well deserved applause.
